For the seventh installment of our quarterly beer symposium, we turn to the growing world of cider. As beer sales have begun to plateau, many drinkers are turning to other beverage categories in search of something new and exciting. We thought this would be a perfect time to learn a little more about one of the country’s most iconic beverages.
Guest Moderator Sasha Clement and The Upper Lip will host Emily Ritchie (NW Cider Association), Christine Walter, (Bauman’s Cider), Dan Rinke (Art + Science), and Aidan Currie (Swift). We plan to touch on our panel’s approach to cider production, the overlap between beer and cider segments, and the future of cider in America and abroad.
About The Series
Moderated by Advanced Cicerone® Ryan Spencer, the discussion series focuses on a particular subject each gathering. The goal of these talks is to share some of the knowledge and opinions industry veterans have gained over the years through an open panel discussion.
Each seminar features a unique list curated to drive home some of the topics discussed by the panel. Attendees of the event will get an opportunity to participate in a thirty minute Q&A session at the end of the discussion.
The price of entry is $10 and also includes one pour from one of the six featured beers available during the symposium. Tickets are available online or can be purchased in-store at either Bailey's Taproom or The Upper Lip. Doors at 1:45pm. Event from 2-4pm.
Space is limited so please reserve your tickets soon! We look forward to seeing you!
